Retaining fill-in data adjacent to pivot table

I have a pivot table that extracts data that meets a certain criteria. When the data is extracted, it needs to be 'signed off' in a cell adjacent to the row that contains that data using a drop-down for the person's name and the date of the sign-off.

However, if the original data changes, the extracted data may now appear in a different row, but the signed-off name and data cells stay in their original row and now don't match up to the exracted data.

Is there any way to ensure that the extracted pivot table data and the signed-off cells always stay in the same row?

    Thanks!

Re: Retaining fill-in data adjacent to pivot table

Perhaps I can word this better.

I have a pivot table with a column of data (A). Adjacent to this column of data, the user chooses his name (Column B) with a drop-down and inputs the date (Column C).

If the pivot table changes, how can I keep the user name and date in the same row as when the user inputted the name and date?
