Either using macros or formulas to find data in alternative sheet

Hi. I am a macro novice and I am trying to set up a teacher's timetable to automatically populate based on the overall student's timetable on a previous sheet. Therefore I need (I think a macro) to be able to do this.

The student's table is set up with the times along the top and then the students down the side - the teachers and the subjects are then within the body of the table. Therefore I need it to find a teacher's name within that body of the table and put in the time they are teaching and which students? Any help would be great - either macro or formula
    thanks

    Hi

I have attached an example with student names as letters - and just included mon and tues of the week. Sheet 1 is the student timetable and sheet 2 is the teacher's timetable - for this I have manually put in the lessons she will take - the example of the teacher for sheet 2 is Tina. I don't mind what format the teacher's timetable is set up in.

    thank you

Re: Either using macros or formulas to find data in alternative sheet

Thank you for this it is great.

Is there any way that we can get it to just look for the word 'tina' within the cell and then return it rather than having to put the various different teacher combinations in I1 or I2 as there are more than the two teacher combinations that I have shown.

    thanks

Many thanks for the original option anyway.

Does anyone else know how this could be done?
