Excel 2003 - Countif on multiple criteria (descriptions)

    Hi

I am working with Excel 2003.

I am trying to create a formula which will count on two descriptive criteria.

Basically, in the example below, I am trying to count the number of times that "Not recorded" shows for the "AMS" column. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Julymum

    Col A Col B Col C
    Name 1 Not recorded AMS
    Name 2 Not recorded AMS
    Name 3 Not recorded AMS
    Name 4 Not recorded BCG
    Name 5 Not recorded BCG

    You would need SUMPRODUCT...

    e.g.

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B10="Not Recorded"),--(C1:C10="AMS"))
Where there is a will there are many ways.
