    can you apply Conditional formatting on a cell

    Can you apply conditional formatting on a cell no matter is in it. See attached. The 3 areas named Line Trucks, Personnel Vehicles and Trailers are auto sorted according to the value, shown in "C". I would like the font to change to red in the top row only no matter what vehicle is in that cell. I can do it for the "C" column because it is the highest number in the column, but the vehicle column is giving some trouble because it is not the highest. I only attached a copy of the one sheet but if the whole workbook is needed then I can post it.

    When creating CF for a column C select together B and C first and apply formating like you doing now for a single column...

    Does that help?

    I have tried that and only column c seems to follow the formatting. I just want the font to go red in both b and c . Should I post the workbook?

    Write some values and color manually cells you want to be red.
