Adding sales values that correspond to the same year & month

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody know how to add a formula that can add sales values that correspond to the same year (for example 2010) and the same month (for example "5" representing May). I have column A for sales, B for year and C for month number.

I would add a column (that you can hide later) that translates your month and year into a date (using the DATE function).Then you can use SUMIF to add anything in that month/year. Alternatively, your "helper" column could concatenate the month and year into mm-yy and then you can use SUMIF on that. Please let me know if you need help with either approach or, if this doesn't meet your needs, please explain what's missing.

Sorry, the solution you proposed will increase the steps I need to take to calculate things.
Is there a formula that can add sales values (column A) that correspond to the same year (column B) and the same month (column C) ?

Excel 2007 has SUMIFS, which would work, but I can't recall if 2003 does. Besides, onece you set up your helper column, you never have to mess with it again (it can easily be designed to ignore blank lines, so you can add data and the new lines will work automatically).
