    Question SUMIFS question

    I have two columns in two separate tabs.

    Tab 1 has 3 rows with +100, +200, +300, giving me a total of 600;

    Tab 2 has 7 rows with -50, +250,+200,+75,+125, +100, -50 that gives me 650, but if I sum just the first 5 numbers, I get 600 . Additionally, in tab 2 I have another column with multiple text values, with one text value being assigned to each number i,e,

    Col1 Col2 (note, Col 2 has Num 3, Num 4, Num 5 as well but I just need Num 1 and 2)
    -50 Num1
    250 Num2
    200 Num1
    75 Num2
    100 Num2
    -50 Num1

    Is there anyway I can use a SUMIFS so that I can get just 600 from tab 2 to tie out to the 600 from tab 1 (which is my control number)? Also, how can I use multiple values within one criteria (Num 1 and Num 2) so that I can tie out to the 600 in tab 1?

    Am I looking at the right formula to do this, or is this a VBA issue?

    Appreciate any suggestions

    Re: SUMIFS question

    Sumifs function is not available in excel 2003 as your profile shows.

    Upload a sample worksheet to describe your problem

    Update your profile if you are using higher versions
