    Color Radar Charts

I'm trying to find out how to color the areas between the gridlines of a radar chart. Think of an archery target with different colored circles. I'd like to color a rada chart so center grid/area is red, next ring is orange, next is yellow and last one is green.

    Colored Radar Charts

Does anyone know how to color/fillin the rings in a radar chart? I'm trying to create something like a target, with the center ring red, next ring orange, next ring yellow and final ring green. Thanks....

right click on the object(that you want to format) >Format Dataseries then select Pattern Tab and do the formating that you need

    Re: Colored Radar Charts

Sorry, but I can't get the Format Dataseries choice. What do I select in the radar chart? Don't know how to link, but here's what simple data would look like
    Area, Score
    Green, 3.5
    Yellow, 2.5
    Orange, 1.5
    Red, .5
    Orange, 1.5
    Yellow, 2.5
If you paste these values and make a radar chart, this may help you visualize what i'm trying to do. I want to be able to color the 'rings' the chart creates for these values different colors.
    Thanks.

    Re: Color Radar Charts

Just add extra series where all the values for a series are the same.

In order to get a smoother radar shape more data points area required.

Thanks Andy...and my apologies for posting multiple threads.
Understand your solution but still have a question about how i'd get a 4th column of data to show up as a regular radar line plot? I don't know how to add links, but if you added a 4th column to your spreadsheet with values that were between 0 and 3, how do you get that to show up? Thanks, and again my apologies....newbie error.

    Andy...
I was able to get the 'value' data to show by selecting a 'nrormal' radar chart (the first icon). However, when i select the other data series and change type to filled radar, another axis appears and skews the shape of the radar chart. Thoughts??

Add the 4th series and then format it to have no marker fill.

Andy...AhHa! Key is having the data in the last column. (do you know why?). Anyway, was able to create the graph I wanted with filled in rings. Thanks so much for your help.

    Re: Color Radar Charts

The order is reflected in the charts plot order. So if you put a filled series after the non filled one it will obscure it when the value of the filled series is greater.
