    Excel to MySQL table

This is a new thread to a new question started in an old post:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...lts-sheet.html

I've attached a spreadsheet that breaks out this way.

Sheet 1: An example of our weekly schedule in the format I receive it in.
Sheet 2: The MySQL table structure that I think I can use to store this data. I use this same structure to store the scores that are submit from the teams around the league.
Sheet 3: Example data which is how I believe the data from sheet 1 should be stored.

I need help with the formulas to take sheet 1 and create sheet 3 out of it. I believe I can then easily import sheet 3 into MySQL.

The link to the old thread above is where DonkeyOte was huge in helping me on the back-end of this application. DonkeyOte wrote the insane formulas to populate my results sheet. In this new task I hope to take the weekly schedule and drop it into MySQL where I will use PHP to present each home association with their games for the week. The users will then just have to populate the scores. I'm hoping to cut down on the number of errors the users have entered in the past.

How reliable is the layout of sheet 1?

Just to be clear, it looks to me like we are taking a formatted report and trying to turn it back into a raw-data format. Correct?

You are correct in what I'm trying to accomplish.

As far as the reliability of the layout of sheet 1 .... the week will always be in cell A4. The home team is proceeded by "AT:" The structure is all the same. What will change is each week the number of rows of home games. The columns will have the same information, but a team could have 1,2 or 10 home games.

I think my previous task was more predictable?

Does my explanation make sense? I sometimes talk in circles.

OK, can you explain specifically where each column in sheet 3 is populated from? They don't look like the same expressions on both sheets - I may be missing something.

I'm attaching more detail as to where values come from in this spreadsheet.

Wondering if anyone is available for help with this. I can start over in the explanation. It's a little tricky! I'm trying to avoid re-typing the data each week if possible.
