    Populating a summary table

Alright so I've been fighting with this for a couple of hours now...the tricky part is I've already found a solution but it involves too many calculations (300,000) and a lot of sumifs (~20,000.....they're causing significant slowdowns on the file)

The simplified version of what I'm trying to accomplish would be as follows (see attached file)

So what I'd like to keep, as to lose as much calculations as possible, would be what's in brown and what's in blue...the end result can be seen on the bottom and something tells me the only way to get this would be to use a macro (which I will attempt to learn in the near future)

    Thanks in advance

Trying to understand the problem. You want the results shown in brown and blue at the top and don't want to use the table at the bottom? How do you arrive at the information in Column D and in Rows 3, 8, 13, and 18 (in other words, how did you come up with those numbers)?

Errrr sorry it's friday my brain is semi-fried

I bring in what's in brown and blue from another sheet (does index/matches)...what I'm trying to find out is if it's possible to get the end result without multiplying everything in the 3x12 matrices out 1 by 1

In my example file it's not so bad (namely its a 3x12 for 4 items) but my real file uses 15 rows by 160 columns for around 200 different items.

Sorry if it wasn't too clear
