    Template with values from database

What I have is an excel file with columns of values (eg Name, Address 1, Address 2, Value, Date) and there are about 50 rows of values. I want to print these using a template file that will give the output:

    [Name]
    [Address 1]
    [Address 2]
    [Value]
    [Date]

So basically, I just want to be able to make a single sheet in the desired output format and link the cells to the column in the database so that I can print all of the rows from the data file using the single template file.

I hope that makes sense, I'm at a loss of words of how to look it up in google which is why I'm posting here.

    Thank you!

That's not quite what I need. I'll be a little more specific.

In the database it has: Name; address1; address2; invoice; account; description
    eg
BOB; 123 FAKE ST; CITY, AB; 11-01; BOB01; SERVICES
JIM; 333 APPLES ST; CITY, AB; 11-02; JIM01; HELP
SAM; 444 PEACH ST; CITY, AB; 11-03; SAM01; MAINTENANCE

I want a generic letter that I can mail out to each client that will pull the appropriate info for each person. It will look like the following (variables are in brackets):

    FANCY COMPANY HEADER

    DATE

    [NAME]
    [ADDRESS1]
    [ADDRESS2]

    INVOICE# [INVOICE]
    ACCOUNT# [ACCOUNT]

YOUR ANNUAL FEE FOR [DESCRIPTION] IS: $10.00

PLEASE PAY BY JUNE 30, 2011

    THANK YOU

I'm very competent with complex formulas in excel and setting up the proper format that I want. I just need to be able to make the sheet in blue and have it linked to the sheet in red so that I can hit print on the blue sheet and it will print 3 letters, one to each person in the database. So for example I need [NAME] to link to column A in the data spreadsheet, but only use one row from the data spreadsheet at a time for printing.

    Hi The Phil
Have you considered mail merge from Excel into Word? Seems like a perfect candidate.

Thanks, I stumbled upon mail merge just before I checked back here so I'll use that. I would have preferred a solution in excel because of the format of the letter but I'll make it work in Word. It's hard to find something like Mail Merge in google when you don't know what it's called.

    Thanks guys.

    Hi Phil
Actually, a solution CAN be in Excel. The Mail Merge to Word would be run FROM the Excel worksheet. Let me know if you wish to pursue this.
