    Allowing horizontal scrolling?

    Hi folks,

My Excel 2007 doesn't allow me to scroll horizontally past the viewable window. When I do scroll
past the viewable window area it arbitrarily moves the view back to the first column of the spreadsheet.
    How can I disable that?

    Thanks for your help.

Is that for all workbooks or 1 in particular.

Do you have any code running that would set the scrollarea.

    Hi Andy,

It happens on all of my spreadsheets amd I don't have any code running that would set the scroll area.

Sounds like the sheet is protected with the option to disallow selection of unlocked cells. Unprotect the sheet.

The spreadsheets are all unprotected already. If I type fast I can get an entry in the outer
columns, it's just that the sheet display automatically scrolls back to the first column
no matter where I try to go on the sheet! It's as if there is something in the software that
forces my "view" to be at the front of the spreadhseet.

    Frozen panes?

All workbooks, or just this workbook, or just this sheet of this workbook?
