    Conditional Formatting - Multiple rows/columns

I want to place conditional formatting on about 120 rows, over columns A-G. The condition is that if the value of Cell Gn = "This", then columns A-G of Row n should be bold and italicized. I can get it to work for one row at a time, but not for the entire 120 rows. Setting the condition 120 times is not productive. Is there a way to do what I want to do? I am using Excel 2007. Thank you.

Did you include the whole range in the Applies to field of the Manage Rules dialogue window?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I used the formula rule. There is no "applies to" field.

In the rules manager.. Home\Conditional Formatting|Manage Rules, beside each rule is a Column of Applies To ranges..you should be able to expand the range.

What is the formula, you should also just be able to copy it with Copy|Paste Special |Formats..... as long as you don't have any $ before the row indicators... e.g. A2 instead of A$2...
