    Hello,

it's all about the layout of your source data. See attached file.

If that does not work for you, please post what you would like to see instead.

    cheers

    Hello

thx you that is exactly what i need, however i need to also include in there the "audit income" portion.

i have tried to include that in, but the 0s are casuing issues and my skill with graphing isnt the greatest. i have adjusted the table you created so i would be extremely grateful if you can help me one more time. thx you

    cheers.

    Re: Clustered graph

What would you want that to look like? If you have blanks in your data, then you will see gaps in the chart.

    Re: Clustered graph

    hello

im just simply trying to show the accounts being compared and their variance, clustered together. it is basically showing an example of the employee income

it shows the 3 accounts (SR, Branch and audited)....where SR aka actual, branch is reported by employee, and audited is audited income or bonus being payed out. i just want the show the discrepencies that are there between the 3 and how its not effective to measure against it.

i.e. criteria 1 (show the 2 accounts and the variance)...3 bar graphs under criteria 1
certeria 2 (show the 2 accounts and the variance)....3 bar graphs under criteria 2
criteria 3 (show the 2 accounts and variance)....3 bar graphs under criteria 3

im just trying to show all three criterias for comparision

wht would you recommend? basically, im showing in this data the bonus portion of a employee (the 3 methods....self reported, actual and audited). thxs for ur input!

Can you sketch up the graph that you would like to see with the drawing tools, then post it? I can't quite picture what your ultimate target graph is supposed to look like.

    Re: Clustered graph

    Hello,

to achieve this, you will need to create the chart from a contiguous data table and manually color the columns.

This will be a maintenance nightmare, since the data for different series needs to sit on the same row.

Also, the chart is hard to read, because the legend has 4 data series, but the clusters have only three each.

Much easier and much more readable if your chart has gaps in the clusters. If a series point has no data, then it will not show a bar.
