    Protecting Document Properties

Is there a way to protect the workbook Document Properties from being altered?

I'm talking about the properties you see in Excel 2007 when you go to the Ofice Button, then choose Prepare, then choose Properities. This shows the Author, Title, Subject, etc.

Is there a way to protect those from being altered?

It's been three days since I originally posted this question, so I am bumping this back up to the top in hopes of getting a response.

    Thanks, Spence

protect the workbook with a password. You do this in the Review Tab -> Changes
    Hope that helps.

Roy, thanks for the tip, but that doesn't seem to protect the Document Properties. I first only had the Structure protected, so I tried protecting Windows too, but I can still change the Document Properties.

    Any other ideas?

Most information is about the removal of meta data but you may find something about protection here (I have not look myself).

    Re: Protecting Document Properties

I can't figure out how to protect them, but I found out how to program then via VBA, which is just as good, or better.

This website shows a list of all the properties you can read from: http://www.codeforexcelandoutlook.co...nt-properties/

I did some additional Internet searching to figure out how to write them. I was hoping to use a With statement, but couldn't make it work, so I just did it the way I show above.
