    Auto suggest

Is it possible to auto suggest a items in a cell (as Excel does in a cell if there are any cells populated directly above), with cells from another sheet?

    Many thanks in advance.

It would be slow but you could do it with an event macro put in the worksheet_change event.
If you can't figure out how a formula works, try stepping through it using "Evaluate Formula" in the Formula Auditing menu item in the tools menu!

If you want to see where your code went wrong, try stepping through it by clicking in the code and pressing F8 and watch as the magic happens!

    Re: Auto suggest

Thanks for the replies. I have tried to use Data Validation but it doesnt give me auto suggest. I've found this link: http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal10.html which seems to do be very close to what I'm after, but it wont let me link to data on other sheets. So close.

Everstrivin, I haven't had too much experience with creating macros. What sort of level is what you're saying at?

    Cheers.

    Re: Auto suggest

I apologize, I didn't think it would be too hard, but I'm finding myself unable to make it work.

Have you tried to put your values into a named range?

If you do then you can put =NamedRange in the box asking for list location. Doesn't approximate auto suggest though.
