Is there any way to disable this pop-up from ever showing up in Excel 2007? In my experience, the error checking which calls this pop-up is buggy and tries to evaluate the contents of the cell when the user is trying to insert a reference to another cell rather than just when the user is trying to navigate to another cell. Furthermore, it evaluates the formula BEFORE the new reference is inserted rather than after, meaning that if the person were to type:
=-$
Then click on another cell, it would generate this pop-up even though the formula after inserting the reference would be legitimate.
Frankly I find this error message a humongous counter-productive waste of time, and flat-out infuriating. There's already quiet notes and error codes for other errors. Even when it's not giving false positives, the only thing this error pop-up has ever done for me is complicate and frustrate my attempts to fix my errors since I now have to wade through one to two pop-ups every time I want to test if my fix worked. Is there any way at all to stop this pop-up from showing up?
