    Excel 2007 Solver Help

Hey everyone, Im new here. I've been trying to figure out how to use Excel DDS features and I'm having trouble with solver. I just dont understand how to make the constraints work.

Take for example if you have four resorts currently running at a net loss. A maximum of $85 per client can be charge in only one of the four resorts, for which resort should she charge the $85 fee per client-day if she is looking to keep her loss to a minimum?

Now I understand to set the target cell to net loss and select max, but the constraints are confusing me.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    John

    Homework?

You could set up a helper column and format it as binary. The sum of this binary column should be 1 (only one of the four resorts can be selected) and finally you to combine the result in the helper column with the $85 charge and the total cost for each resort.

Best of luck to you and Happy Easter.
