    conditional formatting Help needed

    I am trying to create a conditional formatting formula but it doesnt seem to work right

    here is what I have =TODAY()-$C$7:$C$31<=182

    I want the dates in the cells C7-C31 to turn red if they are over 182 days old

    I am not sure what i am doing wrong

    please help

    I am using Excel 2007, and the date set up is MM/DD/YYYY
