Navigation based on dropdown data selection

    Hello,

In Excel 2007 is there a way to create a drop-down list(Section 1 to Section 50), where based on user selection it goes to that section on the same page?

For example, if a user selects "Section 36" from the drop-down list, it takes(navigates) the user to that section in the Worksheet(Sheet1).

This way the user avoids scrolling down a long Worksheet to find the section they need to view.

    Thanks in advance.

Use the NAME box as your drop down, it's already designed for this. The NAME BOX normally displays the currently highlighted cell address.

If you click on the name box it also displays for you all the named ranges you have defined, so if a user selects Section1 from that drop list, you are immediately taken to that section.

This functionality works as is, no added drop down needed in a cell, no VBA to move you around based on the choice, it just works as is. Teach your users to use that box and you're already done.
