Hello all, first time poster, long time follower.
I apologize for how vauge and undescriptive my title is, in fact, its probably not even asking the correct question. But i am somewhat of a novice when it comes to Excel. Right now i am trying to make a random schedule generator for my work shift.
i will ask my question now then explain why i need it later.
I want to to start with C10 then add 2 to that so it turns into C12. But instead of 2, I want it to be another cell so I can make it variable.
So my endgame example would be;
C10 = John
C11 = Jacob
C12 = Paul
Z1 = 2 (or whatever number I type into the cell)
So I start with
C10 +Z1 (the changeable number) and I want that to equate to C12 (aka Paul)
The way i have it currently set up, there are 4 tabs, one is the home page (where the random numbers are assigned), another is where i type my employee names, the third is the random number generator and the forth is the Print out final page.
I am trying to randomly generate the first day of each set of shifts (4 total) and then the employee will drop down 11 spots, so they do not start the same position each day.
I want to make it so the first day is randomized, then instead of dropping down 11 spots, i want it to drop down X spots. So the outcome would be changeable.
I attached the spreadsheet to this thread, in case you need extra understanding of what I am asking for
Thank you in advanced for the help.
