    Duplicating Data

I have a list of codes in a column and I essentially need to duplicate them without sorting them.

    For instance,

    I have:

    tw3
    uw3
    124

    and I need

    tw3
    tw3
    uw3
    uw3
    124
    124
    ...

but I can't let them get out of the order they are currently in.

    Re: Duplicating Data

    1) In the next column over, put in a numeric sequence 1,2,3 etc that indicates the order they started in.

    2) Highlight the cells of data in BOTH columns, copy them, then paste a second set of data below the first

    3) Highlight the new larger data set, both columns, and sort by the numeric sequence you added.

    4) Delete the numeric sequence

    Re: Duplicating Data

if your data starts in a1 then in b1 =INDEX(A:A,CEILING(ROW(A1)/2,1))dragged down then copy/paste values over itself

    Re: Duplicating Data

    Thanks!
I was trying to do some kind of primary key to keep them sorted like that but I couldn't wrap my head around it for some reason.

    Much appreciated
