    SUMPRODUCT not working

I want to add numbers in column B if Bob is found in column A. I'm using =SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A100="Bob"),B1:B100), but I keep getting a result of 0. What the heck am I doing wrong?

    Re: IFPRODUCT not working

Nevermind. I changed "AB" to a cell reference and it worked.

Do the Bob's in column A contain extra spaces before or after?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Re: IFPRODUCT not working

Since it is one condition you are checking, you can use SUMIF which is more efficient:

    =SUMIF(A1:A100,"Bob",B1:B100)
