Conditional formatting to clean duplicates values?

    I am using excel 2010
I know that I can highlight duplicates using conditional formatting
but is it possible to clean duplicate values with conditional formatting?

I know that i can use data~>delete duplicates, but this remove the duplicates AND the cells that contain them. But how can I simply clean the duplicates values WITHOUT deleting the cell?

Conditional formatting can not delete contents of the cell.
it can only format it as you like (colors, icons...)

By remove duplicated value does it mean you need to remove all (remaining 0) or you need to leave first (remaining 1 that become unique)?

In other words if you have list 1,1,2 do you need result as 1,2 or only 2?

step 1: on column b, i need to leave only the first instance but delete all other instances of the same value
step 2: then, only on same rows we removed the values from column b - i need to remove also the values from column a

Another way would be to use the formula below

    =IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)=1,A1,"")

to extract the distinct elements in a list.

The copy and paste special values and delete list with dupes.

    But the macro is better
