    vlookup help needed

    Hi all,

I'm trying to create a price list using drop down lists to identify the product and vlookup to select the correct pricing from multiple named ranges. The problem I have is that vlookup limits me to a maximum of 6 names ranges to look at when in actual fact I have 18. I've attach a copy of my attempt so far (for this excersice all prices are shown as $1). I would be very greatful if anyone can suggest a fix to my problem.

    Anxiously awaiting help.

    Hi & Welcome,

It appears that your product decriptions are all unique. If true, why not build a composite description lookup table, then use just one VLOOKUP formula to get your result? You could still use your original price list for the dropdowns, and a separate list for the price lookup.

    Cheers,

I believe you can keep your data as is and use this formula in D5 of your Summary sheet:
