volume is pi r squared times height
=PI()*radius*radius *height
or in your case
pi()*diameter/2*diameter/2*height
or
=pi()*(d/2)^2*h or loads of variations
=(pi()*d^2*h)/4 so if a1 is diameter b1 is height
=(pi()*a1^2*b1)/4

Should I use VBA for the above? JOhn
Here is my spreadsheet: How do I calculate the amount of oil (in gallons) that the oil drum can hold?
Thank you, John
how can an oil drum have length AND height which do you want to use?
ist workout the cubic feet then convert to gallons (us gal or imperial gal,your choice)
maybe height is height of oil so
