    Linking Formulas to external workbook

The formula below is linked to another workbook. How come whenever I copy this formula to a new cell I recieve the Update values prompt which allows me to select and click open the Corporate Actions file. Is there a way around this so that the formula will just copy smoothly wherever I would like it to?

    =IF(BZ59="","",VLOOKUP('Live Trades'!BZ59,'\\RandallHudgins\Users\bloomberg\Desktop\SHARE\Analyst Recommendations\Corporate Actions\[Corporate Actions.xlsm]Corporate Actions'!$A6:$I$200,9,))

It shouldn't ask you unless excel cannot find the file. This happens when you've changed the name of the file or changed its location, or if you've deleted (or edited the tab name of) the worksheet the formula is referring to.

Just ensure that the file Corporate Actions.xlsm and worksheet (sheet tab) Corporate Actions remain where the formula is referring them to.

I agree but the strange thing is that if I press Cancel then the vlookup function calculates properly. Strange...
