On the Home Ribbon, click on the Conditional Formatting icon.

From the Drop down Menu, select "New Rule"

Select "Use a formula to determine which cells to format"

In the box, type the formula: =B$1="O"

Click on the format icon and choose format font colour red.

    OK out.

    Done ;-)

    Regards

    Re: conditional formating file attached

I have a drop down list with options a and b. Second drop down list c and d. When I select a and c, I would like to display image 1. When I select a and d, I would to display image 2 and when I select b and c, image 3 must display. Any ideas of how I do this in excel 2007?

    New query - see attached

    I have a drop down list - CHOICE A and a second drop down list CHOICE B. When CHOICE A = 1 and CHOICE B = 3, then E2 = TRUE.

For the above case I want image 01 to display (default image). See attached.

Now my problem is - when CHOICE A = 1 and CHOICE B = 4, then I want a new image to display (say image 02).

    How do i do this?

Every NEW THREAD button displays "answer" when I hoover over it. I want to start a new thread but only have answer option.

In short, how do I start a new thread? Please advise.

    Re: conditional formating file attached

When viewing the list of threads in a particular forum (not viewing a thread itself), the new thread button will create a new thread.

I know it's confusing in the new (and unfortunately default) skin for the forum because it was designed by someone who clearly had no concept of usability and didn't ask the advice of anyone who actually uses the forum. Sadly we have no control over that.
