OK, so by the PC bring remotely I mean at a different location other than the scanning taking place, we're talking another city....So, please KEEP THIS IN MIND...

I go to customer houses & I have to constantly write down a receipt ( that I CANNOT avoid, I know ), but the scanning made easier would be good.....so, this is what I am looking for...

To be able to scan (either with a scanner gun, or via a smartphone app * we all use Android * ), bar code serial numbers which have numbers & letters, then be able to populate in someway all the scans into an existing excel spreadsheet already created by me.......but here is the kicker problem......each customer can have more than 1 item & in the spreadsheet I created, I already have several rows for each item .......
I want to be able to save time & scan each item & keep scanning until each customer is done & AFTER that, then populate those item serial numbers into that one customer's field.....
I know that I might have to click & select each space or column or row for each item for 1 customer & then proceed to scan for it to populate, IF there is no other easier way....

I have searched for scan to excel apps, etc & I have gotten these .....any of you know if these would work the way I want.

Also, anyway I can get this done just with an android app & no scanner gun, if the gun is needed, which ones would work? any?

Any help would be appreciated.

PS: The other way I know it could be possible is by just scanning all items per customer & send myself email with spreadsheet of each customer & at home paste them into each of their columns or rows on my file......but that would be like doing nothing almost, I want to be able to save time & just instead have little to nothing done on my created spreadsheet.

A simple request, but I don't want to carry a tablet or laptop to connect a scanner gun via USB & have Excel open...

Any???

Thanks much,

JC.
