count formula between date range

Hi there... ran into a problem.

I have a spreadsheet that has columns A1:D2... that have date ranges. A1 has 6-1-11, A2 has 6-30-11. The other cells have 1st & last day of previous months as well.

Well I need to count how many employees (Column F) fall under all those date ranges...

Make sense???

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

The only name is John, so I assume you just need to count dates within the ranges...

=COUNTIFS($G$3:$G$26,">="&A1,$G$3:$G$26,"<="&A2)
