Issue with Excel Cell Colors in SAP

I am working on SAP FICO module to manage finances for a business. I download some reports from SAP in excel format. A small sample from that report is in attachment "Source.xlsx".

All is well, but when I copy and paste those cells in a new excel file, the background colors change dramatically - see attachment "Results.xlsx"

Any one has an idea why this strange thing should happen??

Re: Issue with Excel Cell Colors in SAP

    Hi,

SAP modifies the Excel color set every time there is an export to a spreadsheet (to make it look more "SAPish"?).

The only solution is to reset the color template in "Options > Color".

    Cheers,

Thanks for the update, ConneXionLost, however I couldn't get "Options > Color" either in Excel 2007 or SAP GUI 7.20. Attached is a view of SAP menu. Could you help, please. Thanks.

I was referring to a file path in Excel (albeit 2003), not SAP.

I'm not certain where, in Excel 2007, other than "Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Excel Options", but that is where you will need to reset the color palette.

    Cheers,

Thanks, Can you help me, where do you see that option in Excel 2003? I can then figure out in Excel 2007.

Red face Re: Issue with Excel Cell Colors in SAP

I see the option is > Office Button > Excel Options > Save > Colors.

Issue with this is that when I reset the color palette, the colors on "SAP Excel" all becomes gaudy, so I cant paste that to 'regular excel' - my original objective.

Any means to achieve that? I just want the SAP-excel to work seamlessly with MS-excel.

    Thanks for any help.
