Exclamation Count Partners Played With Others in Foursome

    Hi,

I need to construct a table that counts the number of times two players show up on the same row.

This is a golfing tournament with 4 rounds and 12 players. I need to see how many times each player plays in the same foursome with the other individuals.

Thanks in advance - my mind is shot from doing VBA. I don't know if this is a CSE formula a SumProduct or Countifs.

See the attached for the sample.

Hello Marvin, try this formula in H3 copied across and down

    =SUMPRODUCT((MMULT(($B$3:$E$26=H$2)+($B$3:$E$26=$G3),{1;1;1;1})=2)+0)
    Audere est facere
