    Automatically filtering data monthly

I'm creating am monthly revenue model on excel that I hope to be automated. It feeds off a big master data file with many columns of information like name, revenue, deal ID, products etc etc.

The problem is ecah month I want to automatically extract only the rows of information that I need for particular names. I know I could obviously go inside the master file and manually filter for the client names I need but I want an automatic way of doing this - so the master data file just has to be downloaded then the other spreadsheet automatically extracts the rows of data I need for the particular list of names I have.

I'm sure there's an easy solution. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Automatically filtering data monthly

    Hi rrze

indirect function in combination of vlookup or index+match fucntion could be used to automtically extract data.

Kindly upload a sample workbook if it does not help

    Re: Automatically filtering data monthly

Problem is the value I am looking up is not in the first column of the table array - it is in one of the middle columns.

    Any way around this?
