Saving file get "compatibility checker" dialog box. How to know whats not compatible

I am running excel 2007 but a friend only has 2003. So i have this file that we send back and forth that is 2003 compliant. However, i guess i did "somthing" and not i get this "compatibility checker" dialog box saying that there is something that is not backward compatible..........but it does not tell me what so i have no why of fixing it.

    any ideas?

Sometimes these are just warnings. To answer the question, I would want to see one of these (I have both versions):
    • Your workbook attached (best)
    • A screenshot of the dialog box (good)
    • A complete text description of what you see in the dialog box (lame but might be good enough)

see attached file........turns out it was just some fill colors but i guessed this was it.......i was thinking there still needs to be a way to identify what exactly they are referring to in the checker so you can change it if needed.

Usually this particular compatiblity conflict is caused by choosing theme colours, (the standard default with 2007), as the fill colour.

If you need to be strictly compatible with 2003 then, when you select a fill colour, don't select the colour from the theme colours, or the standard colours - click the More Colors .... option and select the Standard tab. Pick your colour from there including Black and White. (They are the two most likely to trigger the dialogue box on saving). It seems that theme black/white is not the same as standard black/white.

In truth this particular "error" can be ignored, it doesn't affect any formula/calculation, its just a display thing.

    Hope this helps.
