Cannot click Option Buttons when Protected

    Hi guys,

I have this concern with regard to the Option Button (Form Control) i created found under Developer tab. The buttons work fine when the sheet is not protected. But when I try to protect the sheet, it won't work as it prompts an error that the sheet is protected. I mean, the sheet should be protected so that the formulas won't be erased.

    I tried the following:
    - Unchecking "Lock and Lock Text" buttons under Protection of Format control
    - Cells where i placed the Option Button are also removed from protection when I did format cells

Did I miss something? I know i miss something but I just can't figure it out.

Hope you guys could help me on this. Thanks!

You may need to upload your workbook. The Lock and Lock Text check boxes only protect editing of the option buttons when the worksheet is protected. You should still be able to click them. Are you selecting specific options from the Protect Sheet dialogue? Or when you click the buttons does a procedure run that would be giving the error?

Here it is, Greg! The sheet is still not protected. But it doesn't work if you'll protect the sheet. Thanks!

If you unprotect cell $B$14 it will work. The method you're using requires the linked cell to be unprotected. The only way I know you can get around this is by using Macros.

Ahh, the linked cell should be unprotected! Weee! I still get nosebleed with Macro. Haha

If the form control is a push button instead of a radio button, I can't find an option to associate the control to a cell. I need to use a button to run the macro. Bur when the sheet is protected the button control is not working. Throws an error 400. Any help?
