addition of numbers when they match

Hi

i have attached a file to show what i want to try and do.
Basically i want to look at the values of the part number in column m and for all the values in column M that are identical add up the corresponding numbers in column N and paste the result in column s and t as in the example. I would ideally like to do the maths auotmatically, i want to use the result for a graph. the real sheet could have up to 5000 rows of parts to add up through, but if i can get it to work for a small few the i can get it to work for 5000 rows easy enough.
Any help would i would be very greatful

A pivot table / chart is your best bet (see 'pivot' tab).

1. Select data (with headers)
2. Insert > Pivot table / pivot chart
3. Select fields (row labels will be part numbers, values will be stock - make sure if you are adding that it is set to sum)

It's just a quick SUMIF.

The formula is in column U of your example sheet.
