Copying data in cells

I use about 7 spreadsheets on a daily basis at work and one of them I copy data to paste in one of my programs. I strike thru data in another spreadsheet as soon as I am done working that particular item. Every time I strike thru the row of data though, it erases the copied data I had from the other spreadsheet.

Is there anyway to disable that function?
