Vlooking up into a vlookup'ed range

    Hi,

I am trying to vlookup to find a written range name and then use that range (once found) to be the table array of another vlookup. Is this possible? I cant get it to work at the moment but am wondering if I need to insert signs around the range that has been looked up e.g[] or ''.

Any ideas anyone? Hope thats clear

Probably you need to use INDIRECT... but a sample of what you are trying to do will help clarify.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

You probably need to use the INDIRECT function, but without a bit more detail I can't really tell you how or where.

    As an example:

If, in cell A1 you put the text A2
Now, in A2, put a number
In A3 put the formula =INDIRECT(A1)

A3 will now show the value that's in cell A2.
