Excel and AutoCAD plotting issue

I have an Excel file embedded in an AutoCAD drawing as a Bill of Material. It works great except when I plot the drawing out, all of the vertical and horizontal grid lines that are in grayscale for cell references plot out as well. Anyone familiar with this issue and have an idea on how to prevent it?
