Excel 2007 : sum named ranges in different worksheets

I need to sum different named ranges from different worksheets within a workbook. Each sheet has the same named ranges, but the ranges are different for each sheet. I try using the formula:

=sum(sheet1:sheet3!namedrange)

but get the #NAME error.

How can I do this?
