2007 conditional formatting compatibility issue for 2003 file

    Hi,

I can't work out what is causing a compatibility issue in a spreadsheet I'm making in 2007 that needs to be used in 2003. I have looked through the MS help on it and there's nothing I can see regarding this issue:

I'm using formula rules similar to: =MOD(ROUND(A1,2),1)=0 which set the number format of the cell to 0

A1 contains a number I want displayed to 2 d.p but I don't want the trailing decimal point if it rounds to an integer hence the conditional formatting.

If anyone knows why this is not compatible with 2003 (or knows of another approach) then it would be a big help.

    Thanks,

    Chinchin

    Hello,

Excel 2003 does not support number formats in conditional formatting, only Font, Borders and Patterns.

    cheers,

Richard, thanks that looks a bit cleaner. Will it leave the decimal point though if A1 is not an integer but rounds to one? Could work like this:

    =ROUND(A1,2)-INT(A1)=0

Teylyn, that's a shame. Wonder why it doesn't specify that on the MS help section when I click it from the compatibility checker. Do you know of another approach to do this that will work in 2003 please?
