    Mobile Excel

I use Documents to go on my Android device, its a pretty basic office program for phones. when I open up my estimating spread sheet (excel) I cant edit it because of "unsupported content" I can read it and i can edit some other ones that i have that are pretty basic with no real formulas in it. is there a work around for this or perhaps someone in here can get together with the powers that be and fix this issue?
I dont know if the phone is the problem of if it is the android OS. but it sure would be nice if someone could get together with the folks over at documents to go and get this ironed out.
with the ever increasing use of hand helds this is almost becoming a must have and could potentially turn into a money making opportunity for someone.

just an idea for someone, and for me hopefully

maybe ask the people who wrote docs to go?its not an excel problem is it? excel seems to work fine on a pc/mac if docs to go cant hack it so be it!
docs to go supports 111 functions excel has around 250 ,so you'll always get problems if your workbook has some of those,

    Hi,

I have a Windows Phone 7 which has Mobile Office on it. I can read and do some work on my Excel spreadsheets, using my phone. See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/

I think more phone manufacturers will start using Windows OS on their phones. I guess Android just doesn't support Mobil Excel yet. I have no idea what Docs To Go does.

typical, if you dont have anything constructive to say then perhaps you ought to do the world a favor and pull your lip over your head and swallow (from grumpy old men). I so hate forum trolls that do nothing but roast people because they dont know as much. a simple "sorry but i cant help with this" or "since i dont have access to the program there is nothing i can do" or say NOTHING at all would be even better.

I was simply making a suggestion, thats it, nothing more nothing less.

    How is this.....

    anyway.

WOW, something constructive lol. I used to have a windows phone to marvin and loved it. I might go back to one but for now im on android with an EVO. I found a program called "office suite" that seems to do the job, am testing out the trial version now. it seems to have a better ui as well.

thanks for your POLITE response. it is much appreciated.

    Hi tegrad,

It would be great if all Apple Apps worked on my PC and vice versa. Lucky that Microsoft Office is the number 1 seller on Apple (at least it was a few years ago). Sharing documents, spelled WORK, between OS's and devices is everyone's dream. For yor question, only time and different company agreements will have the above happen. See this link where the question is being asked:

those are pretty old but thanks for the link anyway, i am liking office suite right now and im going to contact documents to go and lead them to this and other forums that have people with the same issue, maybe they will take note and fix it. I havent heard back from them yet either and their forum is down/closed, maybe they made enough money or something and are just in it for the residuals lol.
one real cool feature of docs to go is that it has a desktop application that syncs up with your phone, you just put files from your pc into the desktop application and thats it, syncs right up.

tregrad, please don't quote whole posts -- it just clutters the forum.
