Need Sumif to count dates that fall within a range of dates

I'm trying to figure out a formula for this, and can't get any to work:

I have a column in my table that tells me what date a claim will be barred for Statute issues.

I want to have a sumif (or something similar) that tells me how many of these dates are approaching within 60 days of today, but not include any that have passed the barred date.

I think the problem I'm having is how to incorporate a Today() function into this. Finding dates within a range shouldn't be too hard, but searching a column for dates where today is 60 days or less from another date is baffling me.

Anyone with ideas?? Thanks!!
