In the attached file, you will find numbers in cells A1 to BN1. Then BO1 is the number of cells which contain numbers less than 2. ie =countif(A1:BN1,"<2") The number which should show up is 9, but excel is giving 11.
Can someone advise me on whats wrong?
Other than A1:I1, cells AS1 and AT1 also contain values less than 2, bringing your total to 11.

Trust Excel. The answer is 11. Look at AS2 and AT1. Display them as Scientific notation.
I put a 2 in J1 pulled it across and the formula turned to 9. Then the hunt was on to find the values that displayed to 2 but were less.

I put an =A1=2 in A2 and dragged that across.
Better would be In A2 and pull across
This then shows TRUE for all 11 colums that are being counted!

Easier is to conditional format all of row 1 that is less than 2. Then those cells stick out very clearly.
