Hey!
You will have to excuse me if I donīt have the terms correctly, but Iīm working in a Swedish version of Excel. Hopefully you will understand the issue anyway.
I have this massive document which I am sharing/working simultaniously in with a colluege. Changed the whole thing to tables but realized we couldnīt share the document anymore, so I googled my way to how to change it back.
And yes, I do have backups, but enough work has been done in the document after the table-change wich makes it more or less impossible to copy-paste the changes to an earlier version.
Anyway, found a button under Table->Design for converting a table to a normal range of cells. It went well with the first sheet, but with each sheet it took more and more power for the programme to work through the change and when it finally was finished it couldn't handle the slightest of changes in the document and went crashing on me when I wanted to save the document.
One interesting detail is that when I saved it I got the message that it was being "saved as xxxxx.xlsx" (the exact same filename as the original) in a specific place (the exact same place as the original). So I can't reallt see why I needed to be informed about that.
It both takes a long time to save any slight change and it takes a long time to open the document.
Has anyone got any idea of what's happened? And I would be eternally grateful if anyone knew how to solve this without me having to restore the whole thing and manually copy over the changes...
