    Colored Radar Charts

    Hi All,

Does anyone know how to colour/fill-in the rings of a radar chart? I'm trying to create something like a bullseye, with the center ring red, next ring blue, next ring yellow, next ring green etc.. or the rings different shades of blue preferably.

The only problem is that I will be using a pivot table to create the chart to be able to filter the data on the fly. So when the rings aren't needed the colours disappear or change if possible.

    Thanks....

Attached is a file with two radar charts. One based on a regular table, the other one a Pivot Chart.

If that does not do what you need to do, then please post a workbook and explain in context.

    cheers,

    Hi,

How do you create the above file, could you attach a file with the steps in or explain over here, as that is what I would like

I have attached the file, of what I am looking to do but have the radar chart filled in.

    Cheers,

    Re: Colored Radar Charts

    Hello,

the file I attached uses the filled radar chart type. But looking at your file, I see that what you want is to have a background of concentric rings for your chart.

That won't be possible with charting tricks. But you could use a picture fill for the plot area. Create a suitable drawing with the drawing tools, save it as a picture and use it as the source for a picture fill.

    cheers,

I have some related questions on the fill of a radar chart. Looking at your example of a normal chart how can I:
    - adjust the colours of the rings?
    - add a chart without fill?

    Regards,
