    is this file corrupted?

    I have one sheet that behaves badly when I activate it.
    When I have EnableEvents turned off and switch to this sheet my cursor will only move to unlocked cells even though it is not protected. I can use my mouse to point to any cell, just the "End" and "Arrow" keys don't work properly.
    I protect it and unprotect it and then everything works fine.

    Hi FoxGuy,

    It would help if you could upload a sample of your problem workbook, to have a good look at it.

    I can't duplicate the problem and it's not my file.

    Re: is this file corrupted?

    I once had a similar problem, and solved it by copying the whole sheet with formats ,formulas and all onto a new sheet, and then deleted the problem sheet. Had to go and change relevant references on other sheets and vb code as well. Turned out quite laborious. But it WORKED!

    Try exporting the sheet(s) to a new workbook
    Hope that helps.

    Re: is this file corrupted?

    That's what I'll do when I conclude that it's corrupted. I was really hoping that there was something specific causing it, and that it could be fixed.

    Teylyn;
    OK. I sometimes have trouble figuring out who someone is responding to because they didn't quote the person, so I figured I would start quoting the person I'm responding to. I guess it wasn't such a great idea.

    Re: is this file corrupted?

    As a general rule: if you respond directly to the last post in the thread, there's no need to quote. If you respond to an earlier than the last post, then a quote can be useful, but keep the quoted text to a minimum.

    Without biewing the workbook we can't really say, have you tried enabling events when the routine is finished?

    RoyUK;
    There is no routine ending. I'm updating the workbook and turn off Events while I'm working. I just manually change tabs and my cursor doesn't work right until I protect and unprotect the sheet.

    Jack;
    I have just noticed that one of my range names keep getting it's RefersTo changed. But that went away by just closing and reopening the file. I guess that's another indication that the workbook is corrupted.
    There are 12 tabs. The file size is 4,500 KB. Can't think of what else my be useful.
