    Data auto populate

    Have re written question and file attached in hope it simplifies what I am looking for. Its driving me nuts so would appreciate any help.

    I need to populate row 6 from task duration in row 2 (manual input) at each start point shown in Row 5. This is probably really easy but am just too green to solve the puzzle.

    Any help appreciated Thanks

    I see you haven't had any replies...maybe I'm not the only one afraid of opening that file. Try copying the formulas and putting them in the forum as text.

    Martin, you are correct with the way you posted your workbook, this IS how its accepted here and required, no-one like workbooks that have to be downloaded from elsewhere but a standard xls, xlsx or xlm is fine

    @ Turbo Dog as you can see i have shown some Excel file extensions above if you're not familiar with them i can help you out
    .xls = standard 97 - 2003 format could contain macros
    .xlsx = 2007 - 2010 standard workbook WITHOUT macros
    .xlm = 2007 - 2010 stndard workbook WITH macros

    So you need not fear opening that workbook!
    Not all forums are the same - seek and you shall find

    At the end of the attached file!, his file is called "hlookup or andif help.xlsx" so looking at the end of the name of any attached file will let you know which format it's in
