Gantt chart help

Hi all,

I'm a novice Excel user and need help manipulating a Gantt chart.

I need to have my chart calendar an event every first of the month. I have a "start date" column that multiplies against a "number of days" column that currently only produces a chart that shows a solid line between the start and end date. I need to have single events that show up on multiple dates; like I said, every first of the month.

I really don't know much about this program but really need the help. Can someone walk me through this in idiot terminology?

See attached Gantt chart. On the "calendar" tab, I'm working on the third "tactic" under "Strategy 1." This is for a mock public relations plan I'm doing for a class.
