Question Highlighting corresponding UPC when barcode is scanned.

Hello all, newbie and rather desperate here.

I am trying and failing miserably to figure out how I can have a UPC from a large list in one single column, to be highlighted (yellow) once the barcode has been scanned using a hand held barcode scanner.
For instance, if I had 500 different UPC codes in a single column and I physically had 200 different parts, can the corresponding UPC code on the worksheet be highlighted in a different colour (say yellow).

Do I also need a designated input cell for this to be able to happen and if so, can you advise on how this is done?

Appreciate any help that can be imparted.

Apologies if this has been requested before.

    Many thanks in advance.

Hi odin101 and welcome to the forum.

If you scan the code into a single cell and then use Conditional Formatting to highlight the value it might be what you want.

See the attached and change the number of the scanned in code in see the highlighted cell change.

    Good evening,

Is there a way to keep this rule active as you scan through the list of barcodes. As I updated the cell it removes the highlight from the previous selection and I'm trying to keep a list of everything that has been scanned already.

    Thank you,
