    lookup and flag

I've run a sales order report and need to compare the dates on the report to make sure they all meet our lead-time/delivery requirements. I need to quickly compare the "order entry date" to the "requested delivery date", and flag orders that are requested within 3 days of the entry date. How can I do that quickly? Thank you in advance!

Hi, you really need to post an example workbook so that we can see what format your data is in. Without that nobody can really help you out, sorry.

No problem, welcome to the forum.

One more gripe (sorry), but it's better if you post an example workbook with some of your data in rather than an image, because an image means that somebody has to re-type all of your data to test with it.

Anyway, as I see it you have 3 options:

    1. You can have a simple formula in column F. Something along the lines of (in F2) =IF(E2-C2<4,"ALERT!","")

    2. You can have a more complex formula to list every PO number where there delivery is within 3 days of order. If you want to do this then I'll give it a go.

    3. Use conditional formatting to highlight rows where delivery is within 3 days of order. If you want to do this then I'll have to go and find somebody else to help you, as I'm rubbish with conditional formatting.

    So, any preferences?

The first (simple) formula works great. Thank you!
